Nota, the official Danish institute supporting children with dyslexia, needed to completely change the narrative around reading and accessibility. Nikolaj Schmidt and I teamed up to build a campaign that moves past standard, sterile public service announcements, taking the project from the first conceptual hook to the final films.
The core of the campaign relies on a series of imaginative films designed to tackle the common cliches and stereotypes surrounding dyslexia. Our goal was to show that these misconceptions are just perceptions, not reality. Because the experience is completely different from person to person, we wanted to prove that dyslexia can be overcome and even turned into a positive asset if you accept it and work with it.
We invented playful visual concepts to show some of the prejudices in a analog way. By keeping the production tight and collaborative, we skipped heavy corporate messaging to deliver an honest, empowering, and empathetic visual story that connects directly with families.
